Where to hide a "Hide-a-Key" on your car

Where to hide a "Hide-a-Key" on your Car

Well since my last post was on how to open your car using only a hanger and a stick (hammer). I thought I should spend some time showing my few readers out there different ways to hide a spare key on your car. So in those rare moments when you lose your keys or lock them in your car you can always open the doors without much hassle. For most people I would recommend purchasing a magnetic "Key- Holder".

How to get into Your Car with a Wire Hanger.

How to Unlock Your Car with A wire Hanger.

Have you ever been so busy or distracted that you locked your keys in your car? I am remarkably great at this, I have a tendency to lock my keys in my car at some of the most  random places. The Wafer Tumbler Lock is a type of lock that uses a set of flat wafers to prevent the lock from opening unless the correct key is inserted. The wafer Tumbler locks operation is similar to the pin tumbler lock except for the Wafer lock has only a single piece (wafer) instead of stacked pins. If any wafer is insufficiently raised or raised too high, the wafer edge will be in one of the grooves, blocking rotation.

Pin Tumbler Lock

The Pin- Tumbler Lock is a cylinder based lock design that uses movable pins to prevent rotation of the plug. A Pin Tumbler lock uses a key with specific cuts to properly move pins upward and allow for the plug to rotate which in turn causes the locking bolt to retract.

Pin tumblers utilize a series of pins that are stack upon each other and pushed down by a spring. Each stack of pins must be properly raised to allow the stacked pins to separate at the shear line of contact. Once the pins are separated the plug can easily rotate freely allowing for the lock to be locked or unlocked.
