Here Is What you Do:

  1. look in your garage or under your sink for some WD40
  2. Spray some WD40 right into the key whole
  3.  Now insert your key and then take it out again
  4. Insert the key once more and lock and unlock the door
  5. If is still feels a little sluggish unlocking the door repeat steps 2 through 4 again.

Never put Vegetable oil or cooking oil in your lock!

Vegetable and cooking oil has a freezing temperature close to that of water and in cold climates will freeze up. Now if you were to put this into your lock it will freeze up and immobilize the pens in your lock. Vegetable oil is more like super glue to a lock in cold temperatures and the only way to fix the lock after is by replacing it.
